July 2026 News at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½

Students, faculty and staff at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) spent the second half of their summer hosting and attending professional development workshops, engaging with young learners through educational camps and bringing home national awards. From a middle school camp for Nature Detectives to numerous recognitions for Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, our Mules and Jennies have been busy this offseason.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ & North Central Missouri College Partner With United Brotherhood of Carpenters to Expand Instructor Training, Degree Pathways

Skilled trades instructors across North America will have new pathways to earn college credentials and strengthen their teaching skills through a multiyear partnership among the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½), North Central Missouri College (NCMC) and the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF).

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Earns National Recognition for Preparing Future Elementary Teachers in the Science of Reading

The undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ (ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½) has earned an A+ from the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) for how well it prepares future teachers to teach reading to elementary students.
