ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Receives DEWEY Funding to Increase Recruitment and Retention of Teaching Candidates

As the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ continues improving recruitment and retention of teaching candidates, it has received a $70,000 DEWEY Award from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to help with those efforts.

College of Education Dean Receives Excellence in Governance Award March 22

In recognition of her outstanding public service and for her efforts to prepare Missouri educators, Ann McCoy, Ph.D., dean of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College of Education, will receive the highest honor presented by students. The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Student Government Association will recognize her publicly as the 2022 recipient of the James C. Kirkpatrick Excellence in Governance Award at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, in the read and relaxation area, near the west entrance of the Kirkpatrick Library. The public is invited to attend this award presentation, which will be hosted by members of the SGA.

$1M Alumnus Gift to Benefit ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s College of Education

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Alumni Foundation is pleased to announce that alumnus Greg Thurman, ’74, and his wife, Carla Thurman, of Franklin, Tennessee, have made a generous gift to the university. The gift of $1 million will fund the renovation of a gymnasium in the 53-year-old Lovinger Building into a state-of-the-art mixed-use educational facility.
