ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ OVATION Performance Series to Feature Homecoming Weekend Concert

WARRENSBURG, MO – The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ OVATION Performance Series presents a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, featuring the SOLI Chamber Ensemble. OVATION is a curated selection of world-class dancers, musicians, and theatre performers who bring exceptional high-energy artistry to west-central Missouri.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary year and co-founded by former Warrensburg, Missouri resident and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Music Distinguished Alumna Carolyn True, SOLI is based in San Antonio, Texas and is dedicated to promoting music by living composers. True’s return to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ stage will coincide with ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Homecoming Weekend 2023.  The performance will take place in Hart Recital Hall, in the Utt Music Building.

SOLI Chamber Ensemble is comprised of pianist Carolyn True, violinist Ertan Torgul, clarinetist Stephanie Key, and cellist David Mollenauer. National recognitions have included the 2013 Chamber Music America Award, an ASCAP Adventurous Programming Award, and a 2020 Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Grant.

This program is made possible by support from the Missouri Arts Council and the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Tickets are available at .  General admission for OVATION Series events is $20, and $15 for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ employees, active military, and individuals age 65 and older. Discounted student tickets are available for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and non-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students.
