If you already have a master's degree and are looking to increase your opportunities, our 30-credit-hour Ed.S. in Professional Leadership - Librarianship Option is designed to help you become a leader in librarianship and position yourself for a higher earning potential.

Interested in adding school library credentials to your résumé? We also offer a 12-credit-hour Graduate Certificate in K-12 School Librarianship designed for educators seeking specialized expertise in school library services. 

 

 

CHOOSE FROM THREE LIBRARY PATHWAYS

Selecting one of our three pathways allows you to customize your studies to align with your specific career goals.

  • Academic  – This pathway is designed for graduate students who want to work in higher education. Specialized coursework provides the skills needed for teaching information literacy, supporting curriculum and scholarly communication.
  • School  – This pathway is designed for graduate students who want to be an educator in a school library. Specialized coursework provides the information-literacy skills you need to work with both students and teachers.
  • Public  – This pathway is designed for graduate students who want to be a librarian in a public library or community library. Specialized coursework examines issues impacting public libraries and develops skills for working with lifelong learning, outreach and developing dynamic programming.
