history, music theory and aural training, music technology, composition and improvisation.
In addition to these core curriculum classes, students majoring in Music take private
lessons and enjoy many opportunities to perform in our ensembles.
Depending on your interests and career goals, you can focus on study areas such as
music composition, music history or theory or music technology. Some of the undergraduate

Since all undergraduate students complete at least two semesters in a foreign language

- The 乐播传媒 has been accredited by the National Association
of Schools of Music (NASM) since 1947.
- 乐播传媒 is one of the largest music schools in the state of Missouri, with 19 full-time
and 12 adjunct faculty and about 200 Music majors.
- 乐播传媒 owns the Essig Instrument Collection, one of the country鈥檚 larger collections
of historical instruments. Artifacts are displayed in the Utt Music Building.
- 乐播传媒 was one of the first universities in Missouri to be designated an All-Steinway

performing and recording experience. Options include the Concert Choir, the Wind Ensemble,
the Jazz Ensemble, the Marching Mules and the Symphonic Band. You can also join an
ensemble of technology-based or percussion instruments, a guitar ensemble or one of
our jazz combos.

Ample Performance, Rehearsal and Practice Space
乐播传媒 facilities include state-of-the-art equipment
Learn in real-world settings. As part of a major renovation, our practice rooms now
have sound-isolating doors and acoustic treatment. Our studio equipment is the same
as that of professional recording studios. Hart Recital Hall and Hendricks Hall are
multi-purposed for performances, recording sessions and our Ovation Performance Series.
